China South Corp. Ltd. (CSR) berichtet, dass die Firma im Jahr 2011 fast 70 Prozent der ausgeschriebenen Aufträge über Metrofahrzeuge in China gewonnen hat. Insgesamt hat CSR im Jahr 2011 Auftragseingänge über 1333 Metrowagen erhalten. Dies entspricht 68,5 Prozent aller bestellten Metrowagen (1945 Metrowagen) in China im Jahr 2011. Aufträge kamen unter anderem aus Guangzhou, Wuxi, Chengdu, Peking, Qingdao, Chongqin und Suzhou. CSR kann nach eigenen Angaben jährlich mehr als 2000 Metrowagen produzieren.

The company Metrorex, the Bucharest metro system operator, has awarded CAF the contract to supply 16 metro units with the option of a further 8 trains, for the Romanian capital. The contract amounts to approximately 100 million euros, and will be financed with funds from the European Investment Bank. The units will be delivered as of 2013.

 « Consorcio Linea 2 »1 has awarded a contract globally worth €530 million to the Alstom-led consortium "Grupo de Empresas" to build the second line of Los Teques metro in Miranda State, Venezuela. The line, 12 km long and served by 6 stations, will be enter service in October 2015.

Alstom's share of the contract is worth around €325 million. Alstom – which has a share of the consortium of over 60%, along with Colas Rail (22%) and Thales (17%) - will undertake the global coordination of the project, including engineering, integration and commissioning of the electromechanical works on a turnkey basis. In addition, the company will supply 22 metro trains of 6 cars each, medium voltage electrification, traction substations and part of the signalling equipment. The metro trains are from the Alstom's standard Metropolis platform.

The RATP, the Paris-based public transport operator, has exercised the option for a new tranche of 66 MF01 metro trainsets from the consortium made up of Alstom Transport, Bombardier Transport and Areva TA. This new tranche is worth more than €300 million, of which around €200 million will accrue to Alstom Transport. Financing for this tranche will be split 50/50 between STIF (Syndicat des transports d’Ile-de-France) and the RATP.
