Each year, the Middle East Rail Awards recognise the industry's pioneers in the Middle East and present them with awards at a gala evening. Industry experts vote Kapsch CarrierCom
The prices cover eight categories in which the industry's wide range of players, such as train operators, transport authorities, governments, solution providers and individual train experts are awarded. The jury consists of industry experts, who first prepare a shortlist and then evaluate nominations due to specific criteria.
The jury is made up of Ismael Fernandez Mejia, president of ISOCARP, V.G. Ramakrishnan, Senior Director for Transport at Frost and Sullivan, Ulrich Koegler, partner at Booz & Co. and Anthony Pearce, Director General of the International Road Federation. Criteria for conferring the "Best Communications Provider to the Rail Industry" award include reliability of digital wireless train communication and its seamless coverage.
